How to watch Instagram stories
Type the username of a public Instagram account and sign in with Google or Apple. The stories that account posted in the last 24 hours open on this page, photos and videos, in the order they went up. You don't need an Instagram account, and nothing gets installed on your phone or computer.
Watch stories anonymously
The viewer list of a story only shows Instagram accounts that opened it. LikePatrol reads stories through an API, not through an Instagram account, so there is no name to add to that list. You watch the story and your name is not in its viewers.
Instagram highlight viewer
Highlights are the stories an account chose to keep on its profile, and they don’t expire. When you look up a public account, LikePatrol shows its highlights under today’s stories: tap a cover and the stories inside open in the same viewer, anonymously, without an Instagram account.
What you can and can't see
Public accounts only, and only stories that are still live. Instagram removes a story 24 hours after it is posted, and from then on it can't be loaded through Instagram. Private accounts are out of reach, and LikePatrol doesn't try to get around that.
Keep their stories and get an email when they post
Today's stories disappear in a few hours. With a plan, every story the account posts is saved with its date, 30 days on the monthly plan and 90 on the quarterly, and you get an email the moment a new one goes up. The same search also shows who the account follows, which is the other half of what LikePatrol reads.

- No. The viewer list only shows Instagram accounts that opened the story. LikePatrol reads it through an API rather than through an account, so there is no name to add to that list.
- Do I need an Instagram account?
- No. You sign in to LikePatrol with Google or Apple. We never ask for an Instagram password.
- Why do I have to sign in?
- To keep bots off the site. Signing in with Google or Apple takes a few seconds, and it is also what lets us save stories and send alerts if you choose a plan.
- Can I watch stories from a private account?
- No. Only public accounts. A private account shows its profile card and nothing else, and LikePatrol doesn't try to get around that.
- Can I see a story that has already expired?
- Not one that expired before the account was added to a plan. Instagram deletes stories after 24 hours. Once an account is on your plan, the stories it posts from then on are kept, each with its date.
- Is it free?
- Searching an account and watching its current stories is part of the free preview. Saved stories and email alerts come with the paid plans, which you can cancel whenever you want.
- Can I watch Instagram highlights anonymously?
- Yes, for public accounts. The highlights appear under the current stories. Opening one is like opening a story: the account doesn’t see your name, because LikePatrol reads it through an API and not through an Instagram account.
