What does LikePatrol do?

Two things, both with not private accounts. It shows the stories an Instagram account posted in the last 24 hours, and it reads the list of accounts an Instagram or TikTok account follows: who is in it, who was followed or unfollowed recently, and what those accounts are about.

Will the account know I looked it up?

No. LikePatrol reads public information through data providers, not through an Instagram or TikTok account of yours, so there is no name to add to a story’s viewer list and no notification to send. We do not contact the account.

Do I need an Instagram or TikTok account?

No. You sign in to LikePatrol with Google, Apple, or an email address. We never ask for the password of a social media account and we cannot log in as you or as anyone else.

Can I look up a private account?

No. A private Instagram account shows its profile card and nothing else, and LikePatrol does not try to get around that. On TikTok an account can be open and still hide its following list; when that happens we say so.

What is free and what comes with a plan?

Searching an account and watching its current stories is free. When you register you also get, with no card, a free period that lasts until the account posts its next story: we check continuously and save it for you. A plan adds the whole following list, a re-reading that shows who was followed and unfollowed, saved stories for 30 or 90 days, and email alerts.

How much do the plans cost and how do I cancel?

One plan, weekly, monthly or yearly, with stories and recent follows. The price for your country is shown before you pay. The X-ray of who they follow, with the AI analysis of the whole list, is included in the plan. Plans renew automatically and you can cancel whenever you want from your account; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Can I see a story that already expired?

Not one that expired before you started following the account with LikePatrol. Instagram removes a story 24 hours after it is posted. From the moment an account is on your courtesy period or plan, the stories it posts are saved, each with its date.

Does it work with TikTok stories?

Not yet. For TikTok, LikePatrol reads who an account follows and who follows it. Stories are available for Instagram only.

What do the signals in a report mean?

They describe the accounts that are followed, not the person who follows them. Each account in the list is compared with a catalogue of public accounts classified by topic, such as gambling, extreme dieting, hate, scams, or sexual content. Following an account does not mean agreeing with it, and a signal is a reason to look closer, never a verdict.

Can I rely on a report for an important decision?

No. LikePatrol is an awareness tool. Classification is automated and can be wrong, and the report is not a background check or a consumer report: it must not be used for decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, or custody. What do you keep about me?

Your name and email, the accounts you searched or follow with LikePatrol, and the record of your plan. Payments are handled by Stripe and we never see your full card number. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train AI models. The Privacy Policy has the detail.

I own an account and I don’t want it to appear. What can I do?

Use the removal page, linked at the bottom of every page as “Remove my account”: type your username, confirm from your email, and LikePatrol stops reading the account and deletes what it saved. You can also write to [email protected].

Is LikePatrol affiliated with Instagram or TikTok?

No. LikePatrol is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Meta, Instagram, TikTok, or any other social media platform.
