How to hide your followers
on Instagram.
Short answer
Instagram has no switch that hides your followers list on its own. On a public account anyone can open it, logged in or not. The only way to hide it from strangers is to make the account private, and even then the followers you approved can still see it. Beyond that you can remove individual followers or block them, and neither one notifies them.

Why there is no setting for it
Followers and following are part of what Instagram treats as a public profile, together with the bio and the post count. There is a setting for almost everything else, including who can message you, tag you or see your stories, but not for these two lists. Restrict, Close Friends and “Hide story from” limit interaction and content. None of them touches the followers list.
Make the account private
Settings → Account privacy → Private account. From then on, people who don’t follow you see your name, picture and bio, and the three numbers, but tapping “followers” shows nothing. New followers have to be approved.
What it doesn’t do: the people who already follow you keep seeing both lists. A private account hides you from strangers, not from your own followers.
Remove a follower
Open your profile, tap “followers”, find the account and tap Remove (on some versions it is behind the three dots). They stop following you and are not told. On a public account they can follow you again whenever they want, so removing someone only lasts on a private account, where they would have to ask again.
Block, when removing isn’t enough
Blocking takes the account out of your followers, stops it from finding your profile, and hides your lists from it entirely. It is also the only option that works against one specific person while the account stays public. Instagram doesn’t notify them, though someone who looks for your profile and can’t find it will draw the conclusion.
What third-party tools can read
Anything that reads Instagram from outside, LikePatrol included, sees exactly what a logged-out visitor sees. A public account’s lists can be read; a private account’s cannot, by anyone. If your account is public and you don’t want LikePatrol to read it, the removal page does that in two steps.
