How to see who follows you
on Instagram.
Short answer
Open your profile and tap the number above “followers”. The list shows every account that follows you, with a search box at the top. To check one person, search their name there, or open their profile: if it says “Follows you” under their name, they do. Instagram shows who follows you; it never shows who stopped.

Your followers list
Profile → “followers”. The search box filters by name or username, which is the fastest way to check one person. At the top Instagram groups two categories that are worth opening once: accounts you don’t follow back, and accounts you interact with least.
Checking one specific account
Open their profile. “Follows you” under the name means they follow you. If the button says “Follow back”, they follow you and you don’t follow them. If it says “Follow” with nothing else, they don’t.
The order of the list
Your own followers list is roughly newest first, which makes it easy to see recent followers. Other people’s lists are ordered by Instagram’s own ranking, which puts accounts you have in common near the top, so you can’t read dates from them.
What the list will never tell you
Who unfollowed you. Instagram keeps no visible record of it. The only method is comparing the list at two moments, by hand or with a tool that stores a snapshot. Anything that claims to show it instantly on the first visit is guessing.
