Can you view a private
Instagram account?
Short answer
No. A private account shows its posts, stories, highlights, followers and following only to followers it has approved. Everyone else sees the name, the picture, the bio and three numbers. There is no tool, app or trick that gets past that, and the sites that say they can are after your password, your card, or a survey click. The only way in is a follow request that the owner accepts.

What a private account hides
Everything except the header. Posts, reels, stories, highlights, tagged photos, the followers list and the following list are all closed. The three counters stay visible, which is why you can see that someone follows 800 accounts without being able to see which.
Why “private Instagram viewers” can’t work
Private content is never sent to anyone who isn’t an approved follower, so there is nothing for an outside tool to read. These sites show a fake progress bar and then ask for a “human verification”: a survey, an app install, a card number, or your Instagram login. People lose accounts this way every day.
What is actually possible
Send a follow request from your own account. If you know the person, ask. You can also see what is public elsewhere: tagged photos on other people’s public accounts, comments on public posts, a public TikTok or X profile with the same username.
Why LikePatrol doesn’t try
LikePatrol reads what a public profile shows to any visitor and nothing else. When you search a private account it tells you it is private and doesn’t ask for anything. That limit is the reason the tool can exist at all.

What LikePatrol reads, and what it doesn’t
Public accounts only. Type a username: if the account is private, LikePatrol shows its profile card, says so, and stops there.
