Can someone see if you viewed
their TikTok profile?
Short answer
Only if both of you have the Profile views setting turned on. TikTok’s profile view history is opt-in and works in both directions: with it on, you see who visited your profile in the last 30 days, and you appear in the history of the people you visit who also have it on. Turn it off and your visits leave no name anywhere. TikTok never shows who watched a video, only how many times it was watched.

How profile view history works
It is a setting, off for many accounts and on for others, available to users aged 16 or over with fewer than 5,000 followers. When it is on, an eye icon on your profile opens the list of accounts that visited in the last 30 days. Only visitors who also have the setting on are listed; everyone else visits anonymously.
How to turn profile views off
Profile → menu → Settings and privacy → Privacy → Profile views → turn off Profile view history. From that moment your visits stop being recorded on other people’s lists, and you stop seeing who visits you. The two always go together: TikTok doesn’t let you see visitors while staying invisible yourself.
What happens to visits you already made
If you turn the setting off, your name is no longer shown in other people’s histories. Visits made while it was off are never added later, even if you switch it back on.
Videos, stories and the following list
Nobody sees who watched their videos: TikTok shows a view count and nothing else. Stories are different and do list viewers. Opening someone’s following or followers list is part of visiting their profile, so it counts as a profile view under the same rule.

Read a TikTok account’s lists without visiting it
Type a public TikTok username. LikePatrol reads who it follows and who follows it from outside TikTok, so no profile view is recorded on anyone’s account.
